About
For the past decade, Cathy Lerebours has brought a distinctive eye to her eponymous New York City gallery, Lerebours Antiques. Lerebours’ raison d’etre is to seek out pieces not confined to a specific decorative-arts period but that speak to her individual aesthetic. LA’s eclectic collection spans the centuries, from 18th and 19th century Continental to French 1940s to the contemporary era. Most recently, Lerebours Antiques introduced a collection of bespoke designs inspired by great 20th century European designers such as Jean- Michel Frank, Dupre Lafon, and Pierre Jeanneret.
Lerebours’ client list features preeminent New York City designers as well as some of the nation’s leading Interior design and architectural firms. LA’s collection has also been featured in ad campaigns for major design powerhouses such as Louis Vuitton and Gucci.
A Europhile at heart, Lerebours was born in the Dominican Republic and raised in NYC, where, after graduating from university, she worked in television production. She later moved to Europe, where she fueled her passion for antiques and architecture. On her return to the States, she attended Parsons School of Design and began her career as an antiques dealer.
